Future leaders: the Graduate Management programme is now open for applications

We’re delighted to announce that our popular Graduate Management programme is once again open for dedicated, passionate and driven graduates. Graduates need to apply by 09 April for the chance to be considered for this highly-sought programme.

Developed in partnership with the NHS Leadership Academy and the Department of Health and Social Care, the programme is designed to fast-track graduates into leadership roles in the ever-growing health and social care sector.

The programme will start in October 2018 and involves a one-year placement where graduates are matched with a suitable host organisation. During their placement, they will gain a unique opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge to kick-start a successful career.

Graduates will shadow frontline care staff and senior management, take part in a secondment within a healthcare setting, and get involved with projects culminating with a written report based on their observations. They will also achieve a fully funded management qualification and a health and social care leadership qualification.

Who can apply?

This is an extremely competitive and demanding programme open to graduates from any degree discipline. However, you must:

  • have graduated in the last seven years
  • have/will have at least a 2:2 degree by September 2018
  • have the right values and ambitions for a career in care.

Now entering the eighth year of the programme, we’re pleased to see previous graduates progress into a wide variety of roles in the sector.

What have previous graduates said about the programme?

Many of our graduates decide that a career in social care is for them, progressing into diverse roles including manager, business development, commissioning, workforce analyst and more.

“I have been hosted by a fantastic organisation who are passionate about my progression into a more senior role, and I’ve been taught practical leadership skills.” Laura Johnson

"I have learnt how to handle multiple projects while developing valuable contacts and friends." Joel Trounce
