Care Certificate supporting resources
As well as the main materials we’ve developed with Health Education England and Skills for Health, we’ve also created a number of supporting resources to help and inform you about the Care Certificate.
Help for home care providers
We’ve worked with the United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA) to put together a guidance document and case study for home care providers delivering the Care Certificate.
Help for recruitment agencies
We know that many care organisations use recruitment agencies to help meet their workforce demands.
We’ve contributed to and recommend new guidance produced by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) the professional body for recruitment agencies in the UK.
It helps members and their clients understand who is responsible for delivering different aspects of the Care Certificate, and how collaborative working can be mutually beneficial.
Practical guidance for Shared Lives schemes delivering the Care Certificate
This guidance has been produced by Shared Lives Plus and approved by us.
It provides a general explanation of the Care Certificate with specific reference to Shared Lives, as well as practical guidance on the assessment of performance (observations).
Carer competency record
The Avalon Group have created a carer competency record to help monitor the progression and competency of carer's completing the Care Certificate.
The Care Certificate flowchart
Future Directions has created a flowchart which can help you see the process you need to go through when putting workers through the Care Certificate.
