Evaluation of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment
This three year longitudinal study will measure how the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) has made a difference to social work practice and retention.
Report one – Social worker and supervisor survey
This is the first report from the longitudinal study. It focuses on one of the first cohorts to complete the ASYE and is relevant to adults and child and family settings.
Final report – social work and supervisor study
- Four in five respondents agreed that their profession is a rewarding career and that it is a central part of their life and none of them expect to leave the profession within the next 12 months.
- The same proportion felt they’ve had satisfactory opportunities to put their own social work values into practice and had been able to share these values across other professions.
- Almost all of the respondents felt satisfied (very or fairly) with the professional support they have received from colleagues.
