Skills for Care believes good employers should develop their staff beyond induction to ensure that they have a capable, confident and skilled workforce. The flexible qualifications we promote help employers to meet the different needs of the adult social care workforce. Our Endorsement Framework is a mark of quality for training across the sector.
Skills for Care has a leading role in determining the structure and content of vocational qualifications in adult social care to ensure that they are fit for purpose.
We work in partnership with awarding organisations and other stakeholders across the sector to produce qualifications that are right for employers, learners and people who need care and support and carers.
We actively promote social care Apprenticeship at intermediate, advanced and higher level for both new and existing staff.
We also work closely with partners across the UK under the umbrella of the sector skills council: Skills for Care and Development in order to ensure qualifications are aligned to allow for transfer and progression.
