Skills for Care has launched the first ever National Occupational Standards (NOS) to support adult social care workers who deliver sensory services to millions of people.
The NOS have been developed after intensive consultation with people and carers who use sensory services, employers, care workers and key stakeholders across the sector.
The eleven standards in this suite will make sure there are consistent benchmarks for care workers delivering sensory loss provision and will help develop the skills and knowledge of workers supporting people and carers who access sensory services.
These new standards have been developed in conjunction with our Skills for Care and Development sector skills partners.
