The forums section gives you the opportunity to discuss a range of topics concerning the care sector and its workforce.

The forums allow you to share information, upload files and make contacts with other people who share your specialism or interests within the sector.

Skills for Care's programme leads and project managers will also cast an eye on your discussions to see if they can give their expert opinion on all matters social care.

  • If you already have registered and have received a password - please login using the top left bar
  • If you are a new user you will first need to register your details to access the forums

  • Click on 'register' on the top left hand bar of the Skills for Care home page
  • You will be asked to complete details including your surname, a valid email address, organisation name* and organisation post code*
  • All mandatory files are marked by an asterix (If you are having trouble logging in please leave the organisation name and post code fields blank)
  • Once you have completed all the relevant details, click 'submit'.
  • You will receive an automatically generated email with your log in password from members@skillsforcare.org.uk

(Please keep a note of this password and keep it somewhere safe. If using your own computer, tick 'remember this password' box).

  • Once you have your password, you can click 'log in' on the top left hand bar of the Skills for Care home page and enter your email address and the supplied password
  • To access the forum click the 'Skills for Care forums ' link under 'Forums'
  • Once you have finished using the forum, click 'log out' on the top left hand bar.

NMDS-SC Local Authority guidance forum

To access the NMDS-SC Local Authority Guidance forum:

  • If you already have registered and have received a password - please login using the top left bar
  • If you are a new user you will first need to register your details to access the forums 

Please follow the instructions above to register your details, the link to the forum is located on the members area page once you have logged in.
