ACE guidance and instructions
The ACE online system, which can be accessed from www.acecerts.co.uk, is the place where apprentices, or learning providers/employers acting on their behalf, apply for their Apprenticeship certificates.

Please see below the ACE online manual which details how to claim for an Apprenticeship Certificate:

ACE have also developed a number of video tutorials to demonstrate how the system works for training centres and some of the key tasks they need will carry out on the system. They can be downloaded at http://www.acecerts.co.uk/tutorials/.

Apprenticeship certificates are issued separately for each pathway. All claims are carefully checked to ensure that the correct certificate is issued. Apprentices working in adult social care must undertake pathway 1 at the appropriate level. If any Apprentice or organisation on behalf of an Apprentice presents a claim for a framework completion certificate for either pathway at intermediate or advanced level when they have not been employed in that occupational sector it will result in the completion certificate being withheld. This may have funding implications.

Paper based framework completion certificate requests must be made on the official form below: APPRENTICESHIPS - ENGLAND LEVEL 2 & LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATION REQUEST FORM

The details regarding the workplace title and the employer name must be fully complete along with all required information and signatures.

Apprentice authorisation
A training provider or employer must not request an Apprenticeship certificate without the written agreement of the apprentice. This authorises them to act on behalf of the apprentice. This requirement has been causing problems. Guidance on this requirement is explained in the following document : Apprentice authorisation.
