Training materials listed by Skills for Care - downloadable here
Skills for Care provides a listing of other publishers' training materials that are available for employers/managers and trainers in social care to purchase direct from each publisher. The list is available at the bottom of this page as a downloadable Word file (.doc).
Training materials listed here are included at their publishers' request. Publishers have paid a fee for their material to be included.
This list is published by Skills for Care to aid social care workforce development, but inclusion does not imply endorsement or accreditation of goods or services.
Skills for Care does not inspect, approve or accredit any materials or courses.
Prices and product details are as supplied by publishers. VAT and postage costs may be added.
Skills for Care does not claim this listing is comprehensive, and makes no judgement about items that have not been submitted for the list.
The list is organised by subject category. Hover your mouse over the table numbers on the first page to be able to click and jump down to the table you want.
Publications that cover more than one subject are listed under "all or varied" or "induction" or "NVQ", as appropriate. Also, you can use Word to search for your key words in the document (see Edit menu and Search).
The web address for each publisher is provided, as ordering is direct from the publishers, not through Skills for Care (except for Skills for Care's own publications).
If for any reason you cannot click on a web link, highlight the address on the listing, then 'copy/paste' it into the web address window of your web browser.
Skills for Care is unable to take enquiries about other publishers' publications. The list is updated monthly, in the last working week of each month. If the list currently posted is older than that, it means no new details have been received from publishers. Publishers wishing to have materials included should contact us at publishinglist@skillsforcare.org.uk
Training providers are included on this list only if they publish training materials for sale separately from their courses. Skills for Care does not maintain a central listing of training providers. However, some Skills for Care regional offices list some trainers in their areas, so please see regional pages that are appropriate to you or contact your regional office for help with locating training provision (see 'regions' in main menu, above left).
