3. Identification of development needs

 

Social work management is a challenging career and the current context of financial restrictions means that managers may have less time to engage in their development than before. Therefore, in order to support the most effective use of the framework, it needs to be made applicable to local needs and conditions by spending time on understanding of management development needs to ensure relevant and appropriate development programmes are provided.
