Practice Educator Framework
The development of practice education for social work includes plans for a national framework for the development of those people with overall responsibility for a student's learning and assessment - practice educators.
This framework which has been endorsed by the Social Work Development Partnership will set out learning outcomes that practice educators should meet to demonstrate that they are competent. It will also give expectations in relation to how they should be assessed and the qualifications and experience required.
The framework has been designed to improve the quality of the people responsible for assessing and supervising student social workers on placement.
