The Recruitment Process

1. Applying for a vacancy
All current vacancies are advertised above. If you would like to apply for a vacancy please click on the link in order to download the application form and click on the name of the vacancy to download the job description and further information about the post.
Please note that Skills for Care do not accept CVs. Applications will only be accepted if they are completed on the official Skills for Care application form. Please ensure all applications are fully completed as incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Please do not include portfolio evidence or attachments of examples of work as it is only the application form that is shortlisted.
It is our preference to receive applications via email: recruitment@skillsforcare.org.uk. Please note that a hard copy is not required as your email will be accepted as your signature and acceptance that you agree to the declaration on page 3 of the application form.
Please ensure the correct postage is applied to your application form to enable your application to arrive on time.
2. Shortlisting stage
All applications are shortlisted by the recruitment panel using set criteria. Candidates who have been successful to the interview stage will be contacted usually via email within 10 working days of the closing date.
If you do not receive an email within 10 working days of the closing date, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful.
Please note that Skills for Care receive a very high number of applications for job roles and therefore do not provide feedback on applications which have been unsuccessful.
3. Interview Stage
Interview dates are arranged in advance and the dates are provided on the advertisement or recruitment overview. Candidates are asked to complete an 'Assistance to interview' form which can be downloaded from Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form and Assistance for Interview Form.
Please note that Skills for Care do not reimburse travel expenses or any costs incurred for attendance at interviews. The organisation will always seek to arrange convenient interview locations to reduce any expenditure.
