InLAWS case studies: sharing the learning so far

Using these case studies

These case studies set out key learning from the InLAWS field work undertaken from July 2009 to March 2010 with 20 local authorities across England to support and test out the InLAWS methodology.

These detailed case studies give you more of a 'flavour' of the InLAWS process, how this is operating in practice and how we have been working alongside local authorities to overcome some of the barriers. This is still very much work in progress but we hope that you will find the insights useful in taking forward InLAWS in your local area.

In October 2009, the first of the case studies were launched. The London Borough of Lambeth led the way in progresssing the InLAWS methodology making changes to adopt a more integrated approach to workforce strategy. The second study updates on steps and achievements between October 2009 and October 2010.

Further case studies were developed in June 2010 and more recently in August 2011. Each one focuses on a different theme and we hope that you will be able to apply the learning of at least one to progress your InLAWS.
