The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) commissioned Lagom Strategy to carry out a discovery to help with the design and build of the next version of NMDS-SC. Lagom Strategy engaged with users and stakeholders of the current service in a range of qualitative and quantitative research activities including interviews, observations, surveys, web analytics and prototype usability testing. The findings and recommendations have been put together in an executive summary which has now been published.
Key findings and recommendations include, amongst others:
- The workforce intelligence from the data in the NMDS-SC is highly valued by DHSC and others
- Improve the everyday user experience of inputting and managing data, to reduce burden
- Raise awareness of the importance and impact of contributing to the NMDS-SC
- Open the doorway with APIs (application programming interfaces) for third-party HR services so that employers can synchronise and update their worker records in the NMDS-SC (to reduce the double-keying time burden on users).
More updates about the exciting new development will be published on our website.
