Well-led advanced

Developing leadership at all levels

The Well-led Advanced programme has been specifically designed for those wanting to further develop their leadership skills.  It enables participants to focus on, develop and evaluate the impact of their leadership within the context of their role in health and social care.

This brand new programme aims to provide participants with an opportunity to consider change and its effect on staff and colleagues. It looks at how to lead change sensitively, to create a learning and development culture within the team that embraces change and provides an opportunity for innovation.

Participants on the Well-led Advanced programme will consider:

  • creating a climate for change in their team
  • how to facilitate change sensitively with colleagues
  • understanding reactions to change, stress and how to build resilience for change
  • building a learning culture in the team, to liberate potential and innovation
  • building an action plan to continue to develop this change in culture.

Lancashire County Council – Case study

In November 2018, Lancashire County Council commissioned our Well Led Advanced programme for their Registered Managers. Over 35 attendees successfully completed the programme, who attended a combined 8 day programme - consisting of four days Well Led and four days of Well Led Advanced.

The final Learner Exchange day was a real success with at least a dozen of Lancashire Council’s senior management team and elected members attending to see the outcome of the participants’ learning and the successful Leadership Programme at first hand.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this programme.  The participants have been fantastic and have thoroughly embraced the opportunity to explore solutions to issues that they face with their peers.  The Leadership Impact Projects that were presented back to us at the end of the programme were all incredibly interesting and all included practical changes to improve the quality of services to residents and the people who use them.” Louise Christie, Programme Leader
