Information for large national organisations

Registering subsidiaries that you want to claim funding for

Following your grant award, you’ll need to ensure you have completed an organisation declaration form (new grant holders only) or confirmed the subsidiaries. It should include the names of all subsidiaries that you intend to claim funding for.

Any grant holder who has accessed WDF directly from Skills for Care in previous years does not need to complete a new declaration form unless they are linking new establishments to their grant. By continuing to access the fund, employers are bound by the current terms.

Further information can be found in the guidance document.

Making a claim

How to put together a Workforce Development Fund (WDF) claim 2018/19 will support you in making a claim. Grant holders can access the fund in their grant agreement by making a claim to Skills for Care.

Details of the qualifications and learning programmes that will be funded and the funding contributions are available here. To claim for QCF qualifications you will need to add codes for all units within the qualification to your claim form so that we can identify any units which have been previously funded. You can find the unit codes on the unit look up list.

If you have claimed units of a QCF qualification previously, the amount of funding paid for those units will be deducted from the advertised funding value of the qualification and you will be paid the balance. For example,  you have already claimed funding (£360) for the 9 mandatory units within a level 2 diploma in health and social care. The total advertised funding value for the completed qualification is £690, therefore you will receive £330 (£690 - £360 = £330). All units must be included on your claim form.

You must complete a grant holder claims submission form for every claim made.

Grant milestones for 2018-19

Funding claims need to be submitted to Skills for Care by the grant holder in line with the grant milestones:
