Return to Practice - nurses into social care
Is it time to revive your nursing career?
We’ve created a dedicated webpage specifically for registered nurses to make it as easy as possible for you to access the most up to date information and guidance on COVID-19. Obviously, the situation is very fast moving and we’ll do all we can to keep the page as up to date as possible www.skillsforcare.org.uk/covid19registerednurses.
Would you like to utilise your life experience and redevelop your nursing skills and knowledge in a caring environment?
Return to Prcatice is for people who have previously been a registered nurse and want to return to nursing. The skills and experience a nurse has is invaluable to adult social care. Following our recent successful pliot, we're encouraging Return to Practice across the sector. As an employer, you can take on a Return to Parctice student and support nurses to return to adult social care.
To ensure that returning to nursing is as simple as possible for you, Return to Practice offers a supportive, flexible and varied learning experience. The pilot is fully funded (by Health Education Engand) in order to support you further in coming back to the profession you once loved.
We have produced a guide for owners, managers and education facilitators of care homes with nursing which can be used to develop and educate their workforce on how to support a Return to Practice student. The guide is available to download and is called Supporting nurses return to practice - how to develop an educational culture and learning environment in care homes with nursing.
