Return to Practice - nurses into social care

rtp-logoIs it time to revive your nursing career?

Would you like to utilise your life experience and redevelop your nursing skills and knowledge in a caring environment?

We offer free Return to Practice courses in the West and East Midlands.

If you’re a nurse that’s no longer registered and wish to return to nursing in adult social care, Return to Practice will support you to do so. The programme is for nurses from health and social care backgrounds, and provides a platform for you to work with other healthcare professionals to update your skills and knowledge. So you can return to work in nursing with confidence.

To ensure that returning to nursing is as simple as possible for you, Return to Practice offers a supportive, flexible and varied learning experience. The pilot is fully funded in order to support you further in coming back to the profession you once loved.

We have produced a guide for owners, managers and education facilitators of care homes with nursing which can be used to develop and educate their workforce on how to support a Return to Practice student. The guide is available to download and is called Supporting nurses return to practice - how to develop an educational culture and learning environment in care homes with nursing.
