Skills for Care expert group
Skills for Care has set up an expert group of people with a learning disability, autistic people and family members and/or carers. The group will get involved in different parts of Skills for Care’s and Health Education England’s work to help us to get better at what we do.
This is a great opportunity to do things differently. We want to develop true co-creation and collaboration - we want to share our power and we want to work together in new ways that really make a difference!
The group agreed to met face-to-face, every two months, in Leeds. We'll also hold regular webinars for those who can't attend these meetings.
If you're interested in finding out more about the group, please email us.
Information for group members
Skills for Care can pay for your travel costs. Please book your place first, and then:
- if you want to get the train, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0113 2411279 (and ask for Carl Laverick) to tell us which train you want to get and what time the train is, and we can book the train tickets for you. We will send the tickets to your phone or post them to your house
- if you want to get the bus or drive, you will need to book and pay for your travel and then we will pay you back. We will ask you to fill in a form on the day so that we can pay you back
- if you live far away, we might be able to pay for you to stay in a hotel the night before the meeting. Please email email@example.com or call 0113 2411279 (and ask for Carl Laverick) to talk to us about this.
