The recommended resource for service improvement

Care Improvement Works is an online tool which provides access to free guides, learning tools and resources which you can use to improve your service.

Different resources available to you

This one stop shop offers a range of resources from Skills for Care, the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) and The National Instutute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). These include toolkits, guidelines, qualifications, videos, e-learning, standards and information about the funding available to support the learning and development of your workers.

Helpfully aligned to the CQCs questions and key lines of enquiry

All resources have been mapped to the Care Quality Commissions (CQC) inspection questions and key lines of enquiry (KLOEs) which looks at whether your service is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. This will include the latest inspection focus changes introduced in November 2017.

Use the resource to improve your service at any time

When planning for an inspection or responding to its findings, you can select the most appropriate tools to areas you wish to strengthen. 15,000 organisations have already used this tool and has highlighted how it can help you to further improve your service.

Easy to use

Care Improvement Works is easy to navigate and use. You simply choose to focus on Safe, Effective, Responsive, Well-Led, Caring or all.  Resources are listed under each key line of enquiry.

Get your resources delivered straight to your inbox

You then select the products you’re most interested in. These will be collated into a useful report which you can then choose to email to yourself or colleagues, providing a reference tool when planning your future improvements.

An excellent, well-organised and easy-to-use resource that is up-to-date, accurate and very helpful.
