Skills for Care, the strategic employer-led organisation for adult social care in England supports employers across the sector to ensure that they are in a position to drive forward leadership and workforce development, including the effective deployment and commissioning of the workforce across all job roles. In line with this remit and offer to all social care employers we have developed this resource to inform the effective commissioning and deployment of social workers.
Effective deployment: Commissioning and planning for social workers reflects the importance of the social work workforce in meeting the requirements of the Care Act, providing an interactive library of information and resources to support the decision making of directors of adult services, commissioners and workforce development professionals. It forms part of a suite of resources that have been developed by Skills for Care and partners to support the implementation of the Care Act, including alignment to the workforce capacity planning and support model.
