Supporting your NQSWs during their ASYE and recording their progressive assessment is an important part of the ASYE. Below are the old ASYE templates (pre 1 September 2022) for those working in child and family services.
The record of support and progressive assessment (RSPA) and the critical reflection log (CRL) are key evidence templates with guidance for recording and evidencing the ASYE assessment process.
The following information details the responsibilities of the NQSW and assessor at each assessment stage and the provides the templates for the evidence that is required.
Due to the impact of COVID-19, we've developed a set of principles supporting the transition from student to NQSW which will provide guidance in completing the documents cited below.

Part 1: Beginning the ASYE
Responsibilities of the NQSW:
Identification of learning and development needs at the start of the ASYE to inform the discussion at the support and assessement meeting; planning for the holistic assessment process and the personal development plan (PDP).
Resposibilities of the assessor:
Setting out and agreeing the support and assessment agreement, including roles and responsibilities and developing the PDP based on the NQSW's reflection in part 1 of the critical reflection log.
