Eastern aspiring managers network

Skills for Care's local aspiring manager networks provide a supportive and informative environment for deputy managers, team leaders and senior care staff to discuss challenges, issues and successes with those working in similar roles. They are open to people from all care settings and service types. These networks help aspiring managers to develop their role and discuss challenges and successes with those working in similar roles. This meeting will take place via Zoom on Wednesday 12 June at 10:30 – 12:00 noon. This session will focus on the new CQC Single Assessment Framework, including best practice and access to resources, to support the requirements of a successful inspection. Those managers who weren't able to attend previous meetings of the network are still very welcome to join us.

Midlands Deputy development network

The Midlands Deputy development network is a regional network providing support to the development deputies and senior staff within the adult social care sector across the East and West Midlands. Our next session will focus on environmental sustainability in care leadership. We will be discussing the meaning of 'eco friendly' within social care and whether making sustainability should be a top priority for leaders. Join us to uncover the actionable steps that we can take to protect our planet whilst delivering exceptional care. The network is chaired by Terry Cotton, who is a Nominated Individual from the Eastern region. The network was launched in the Eastern Region early in 2022 and has been running as an active group since its launch. The network offers support for nominated individuals including: Understanding the remit of their role and meeting its requirements. Hearing from expert speakers from across the social care sector An opportunity to share challenges facing care sector organisations. Finding co-designed solutions to address challenges. Networking with executive/senior level colleagues from across the Eastern region. Feedback into Skills for Care’s Board and Department of Health and Social Care on key issues. If you are a nominated individual in the Eastern region, please join us for these network meetings. You can choose as many meetings as you are able to and the majority of these sessions will be run on Zoom.
