Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set
The Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set is the new name for the updated National Minimum Data Set for Social Care (NMDS-SC) service.
Skills for Care has been commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care to develop and manage the new service and provide expert analysis on the adult social care workforce.
The service is currently in development and we’re consulting with users at every stage to ensure it is fit for purpose. We’re also including non-users to make sure we get a balanced view. Thank you to everyone who has been involved so far.
The key difference will be the look and feel of the service. The questions asked remain the same although we have done a little spring cleaning. The new look will follow gov.uk websites, such as passport application or drivers licence renewal. The feedback we’ve had has been really positive.
At 17.30 on Thursday 18 July 2019 the NMDS-SC will close. All the data will then be migrated to the new service, so users will no longer have access to their NMDS-SC account and the data within it after this date.
From Monday 5 August 2019 we will start to email account holders to advise that their account is ready to be accessed on the new ASC Workforce Data Set service. Users will be able to log into the new service with their existing user name and password so there’s no action for users to take.
