This page presents Skills for Care’s estimate of the number of filled posts in adult social care. These estimates, shown in blue, have been weighted to represent the whole adult social care sector. Monthly changes, shown in purple, present unweighted data from the ASC-WDS.
- The number of filled posts for 2012/13 to 2022/23 are the published weighted total number of filled posts for all CQC-regulated adult social care independent sector employers.
- The monthly staff change information is unweighted data from the ASC-WDS showing the change since March 2023 for those employers that have updated in each month.
- The number of CQC-regulated locations is also shown by service type from March 2023.
This monthly information should not be compared to our regular annual reports. The monthly data is currently unweighted and may only reflect the characteristics of those who updated their ASC-WDS information.
