This report provides the most up-to-date overview of pay rates for care workers in the adult social care sector as at December 2023 in England. Topics covered include: recent pay trends, investigation of side effects as a result of the increasing pay floor, and the potential impact of the 2024 NLW (£11.44). Independent sector care worker hourly rates are the main focus of this report, as well as differentials with other job roles in the adult social care sector.
