ICB quarterly recruitment and retention
Tracker information updated quarterly, by 15th of the month. Updates in January, April, June and October.
Trackers have been paused and will be updated once 'The size and structure of the adult social care sector in England' report is published on 29 July 2025. Significant improvements have been made to estimates for the size of the non-residential workforce and will be reflected in the updated figures.
This page presents changes in filled posts as well as the starter, turnover and vacancy rates in each ICB area per quarter.
2023/24 figures are Skills for Care’s annual estimates of the independent sector adult social care workforce.
Figures per quarter were calculated using unweighted data in the ASC-WDS, from employers that have updated since March 2024.
- This quarterly information is unweighted and may only reflect the characteristics of employers which are updating the ASC-WDS, however they give an indication of the direction of change throughout the year.
- Changes to the number of filled posts are shown as a percentage change since March 2024.
- Changes to the starters, turnover and vacancy rate are shown as a percentage point change since March 2024.
