Reports displaying workforce information in your chosen local area. Geographies are split based on local authority area and NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) area. There are visualisations and summary reports for each area.
National information
Reports covering the size and characteristics of the adult social care workforce in England at the national level. This includes the ‘The state of the adult social care sector and workforce in England’ and the ‘Size and structure’ reports.
Regional information
Reports looking at the adult social care workforce within each region of England. There are nine regional summary reports alongside two data visualisations: one to compare variables by region and one to show workforce information one region at a time.
Regulated professions
See reports on key job roles using information from the ASC-WDS. These include registered nurses, social worker and occupational therapists.
Topics
View reports on key topic areas created using information from the ASC-WDS. Topics include apprenticeships, factors affecting turnover, and individual employers and personal assistants.
Data downloads
You can download data files in Excel format, showing our workforce estimates in tabular form. We also have a statistical appendix to accompany includes the ‘The state of the adult social care sector and workforce in England’ report.
