Skills for Care has published its latest data about individual employers and the personal assistants (PAs) they employ. The report and data visualisation estimates the total number of individual employers and personal assistants. It also looks at topics specific to this part of the adult social care workforce, including recruitment and retention, workforce demographics, and pay.
Our latest report identifies around 69,000 direct payment recipients directly employing their own staff. There were an estimated 100,000 people carrying out an estimated 130,000 PA posts.
