Overview
Skills for Care and The Care Workers’ Charity will be joined by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to provide an overview of the Government’s work to introduce Fair Pay Agreements (FPAs) in adult social care.
DHSC is introducing FPAs in adult social care so that care professionals are recognised and rewarded for the important work that they do.
Colleagues at DHSC will detail the background to the policy and explain what FPAs will mean to you, as a frontline care worker.
You will hear how you can get involved in the current public FPA process consultation, which is seeking views from across the adult social care sector on the design of the FPA.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to the DHSC during this session, and your input will help inform discussion and contribute to the ongoing work to establish the best way to collectively agree an FPA.
Participation claims information
To help support frontline care workers to participate at this meeting, you will be offered remuneration for your time to attend, in line with Skills for Care’s participation policy (£20p/h). We will offer a total remuneration of £20 for one hour of attending the meeting.
Please note that payment for participation with Skills for Care may affect your finances. You may be liable to pay tax and national insurance on the payment. If you are paid welfare benefits, the payment could interfere with your benefits. We advise you to seek independent advice before agreeing to paid participation. For example, Citizens Advice can offer advice on benefits, such as Universal Credit.
Who should attend?
If you're a manager, employer or provider, please share this experience with a member of your team.
Please note places are limited and are on a first come, first served basis. In order for us to capture a wide range of views, we ask that only one person registers to attend from an organisation.
