Moving Up programme
This programme supports managers and aspiring managers from Black and Asian minority backgrounds to progress in their careers. It’s designed to empower those who are ambitious but face barriers. Over the past 12 years, it has made a real difference to those who’ve taken part.

This practical development programme is designed for registered managers in social care to help build confidence, learn useful strategies, and connect with peers. Becoming a director programme
- Delivery: Three face-to-face and six online workshops
- Cost: £1,700 +VAT
We offer two cohorts of this programme.
Becoming a Director of Adult Social Services is exclusively for future Directors of Adult Social Services (DASS) within statutory organisations (like local authorities) and builds skills to lead strategically, influence decisions and work across sectors.
Becoming a Director in Social Care is for those aiming to lead non-statutory organisations (like private or third-sector providers) and focuses on managing complex care environments, driving innovation, and creating sustainable strategies.
Meeting Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards is key to delivering Good or Outstanding care. Our interactive seminars help you understand the inspection process, prepare effectively, and build confidence.
