Skills for Care and The National Care Forum (NCF) are delighted to be partnering again to deliver The Managers Conference 2024.

The conference, being held at Wyboston Lakes Resort in Bedfordshire is the second event to have resulted from the partnership between the two organisations and is positioned as essential learning for managers working within social care provision.

Opening the conference is Miriam Levin from Engage Britain who will inspire delegates with the work of their People's Panel which identified social care as a huge priority for the public.

She will also share some 'people powered’ ideas developed to help convey the message that social care matters to us all.

Workshops and panel sessions will also be devoted to green care and digital transformation in care leadership together with an expert overview of the new Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessment and inspection processes.

Organisers are pleased to have been able to keep registration fees in line with last year’s event despite rising costs with a number of early bird tickets priced at £265+VAT on sale now. Full price tickets for the event which includes overnight accommodation, dinner, and a drinks reception on 11 March, plus the full conference and exhibition the following day, are priced at £315+VAT. Day tickets, for the conference and exhibition are also available.

Vic Rayner, CEO of NCF said:

The Managers Conference has always been popular with providers and we’re pleased to be able deliver continued value and great learning from across a wide spectrum of speakers, and key networking opportunities, at next year’s event. We’re thrilled to have been able to keep ticket prices at last year’s rate, while adding a huge amount of additional content to the agenda. We’re very excited with the programme we’re offering and confident it will appeal to a wide range of managers.

Oonagh Smyth, CEO of Skills for Care said:

Registered and frontline managers are at the heart of their services. We must never underestimate the positive impact they have on people’s experience of care, how staff feel about their roles, and how others view social care. This dedicated event is just one important way of recognising and championing their efforts, with a programme which will celebrate their roles, as well as provide opportunities for practical development, making connections between peers and hearing from others.

Christoph Marr, Managing Director of Marr Procurement whose brand, marrgo is supporting the event as headline sponsor said:

It is a real privilege for marrgo to be the headline sponsor for the Managers Conference for the third year running. The marrgo team are all looking forward to the event.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased on the Skills for Care website.
