ASYE child and family annual report 2024-25

The report highlights the positive impact of the programme for NQSWs and the organisations in which they work, as well as the wrap-around support provided by Skills for Care. Key learning is captured through thematic insights to facilitate and guide future development of the ASYE programme.

Change the script - Social Work England

Social Work England has collaborated with social workers, national organisations and people who have experienced social work to create a new reframing guide. It provides information and practical suggestions to transform how the public, organisations and the media write and talk about social work.

The guide aims to set a new narrative for social work that: 

• builds more accurate and balanced views
• improves public understanding of the profession
• recognises the positive impact social work makes to millions of people every day. 

They've also released a new short film. It features award-winning author Beth Moran, who is also a foster carer, meeting social workers and people they have supported to tell the real story of social work.
