Please read this before you start. By accessing any course on The Training Hub, you are accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Platform.

Who we are

The Training Hub is operated by Skills for Care Solutions Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07938138), a wholly owned subsidiary of Skills for Care, a registered charity (charity number 1079836). Our registered office is at West Village, Wellington Street, Leeds LS1 4LT.

If you have any questions, you can reach us at thetraininghub@skillsforcare.org.uk.

What this agreement covers

This agreement is between you and us. It sets out the rules for using the Platform, the courses, and any certificates you earn.

If your employer has purchased a course or access for you, your employer has its own separate agreement with us. This agreement is on top of that. It is personal to you as the individual user.

Your access

How you got here

You are either:

  • using The Training Hub because your employer has purchased a course or access on your behalf; or
  • using The Training Hub because you have purchased a course or courses directly.

Either way, the same rules apply to you as an individual user.

What you can do

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the Platform and Content for your own learning during your access period.

Under this licence, you may:

  • log into the Platform and complete the courses you have been given access to;
  • work through course content at your own pace within your access period;
  • earn a Completion Certificate when you successfully complete a course.

What you cannot do

Please do not:

  • share your login details with anyone else — your account is for you only;
  • let someone else complete a course or assessment on your behalf;
  • copy, download, or reproduce course content (videos, materials, assessments, or anything else) and share it outside the Platform;
  • use the Platform in a way that could damage it or disrupt other users;
  • do anything that is unlawful or that misrepresents who you are.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your username and password secure. If you think someone else has accessed your account, please tell us straight away at thetraininghub@skillsforcare.org.uk.

Please make sure the information in your account (such as your name and email address) is accurate. Your Completion Certificate will be issued in the name recorded on your account, so it is important this is correct.

Your access period

Your access to each course lasts for the period shown at the point of purchase or enrolment. Once that period ends, you will no longer be able to access the course content.

If you accessed The Training Hub through your employer's account and your employer's agreement with us ends, your access may end at the same time. Your employer should let you know if this is going to happen.

Completion Certificates

When you successfully complete a course, we will issue you with a Completion Certificate. This is your record of achievement.

We keep a record of your certificate on our system. This means that, even after your access period ends, you can ask us to verify your completion (for example, if you need to provide evidence to a future employer). We will only do this with your permission.

The content on the Platform

All course content on The Training Hub, including videos, written materials, assessments, and anything else, belongs to us or to the people who have licensed it to us. You are allowed to use it to learn, but not to copy it, share it, or use it for any other purpose.

We work hard to make sure the content is accurate and up to date, but the courses are for learning purposes and should not be treated as legal, clinical, or professional advice. If you need advice specific to your situation, please consult an appropriate professional.

Your privacy

How we collect and use your personal data is explained in The Training Hub Privacy Notice, available at skillsforcare.org.uk/thetraininghub/privacy-policy.aspx. Please take a moment to read it, as it tells you what information we hold about you, why we hold it, and what your rights are.

If you are accessing The Training Hub through your employer, your employer can see information about your training progress through its administrator account. Your employer should have told you about this before you started using the Platform.

Things we are responsible for and things we are not

We aim to keep The Training Hub running smoothly and the content accurate, but we cannot guarantee that the Platform will always be available without interruption or that it will be free from errors. We will always do our best to fix problems quickly.

We will not be liable to you for:

  • any loss of data, loss of earnings, or other indirect losses caused by your use of (or inability to use) the Platform; or
  • the content of any third-party websites linked from the Platform.

Nothing in this agreement limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

If things go wrong

If you misuse the Platform — for example by sharing your account, copying content, or behaving in a way that breaks these terms — we may suspend or close your account. We will try to contact you first if it is practical and appropriate to do so.

If you have a problem or complaint, please contact us at thetraininghub@skillsforcare.org.uk. We will do our best to resolve it fairly and promptly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make any significant changes, we will let you know, for example by sending you an email or showing a notice when you next log in. If you continue using the Platform after the changes have come into effect, that means you have accepted them.
