User led organisation funding

User led organisations and/or disabled peoples organisations can apply for funding to deliver training for people who employ or contract with personal assistants.

The application window has now closed and the successful organisations have been awarded funding for 2026-27.

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) continue to support the training needs of individual employers (IEs), personal assistants (PAs) and self-employed personal assistants(SEPAs), through the 2026-27 user lead organisation (ULO) fund.

This fund is administered by NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) on behalf of the DHSC (formerly administered by Skills for Care).

ULOs/disabled peoples organisations (DPO) can use the funding to deliver tailored training for IEs and PAs, helping to ensure that care is personalised and responsive to individual needs.

Awarded ULOs 2026-27

The ULO training hub brings together the successful ULOs who've been awarded funding to support various training opportunities for IEs and PAs/SEPAs to develop and learn new skills.
