Skills for Care launches campaign to support change management in social care

07 Feb 2022

2 min read

Skills for Care has launched a series of activity to support social care leaders with managing change.

Our #ManagingChange spotlight will run throughout February and March, across our website, social media, and other communications channels.

Key areas of focus will include being change-ready, leading change, understanding resistance to change, and engaging teams. We’ll also be sharing positive examples of change in action.

All this support can be found on our dedicated #ManagingChange webpage, collating a range of resources and content to support with change leadership, including guides, toolkits, development programmes, and more.

New blogs and articles sharing expert insights, top tips, and interviews from people within the Skills for Care team and those working within the sector, will also be added throughout February and March.

Additionally, we’re running a live webinar on Tuesday 1 March at 12:00, which will be looking at change in the context of the pandemic and will include contemporary approaches to change resistance.

Popular change models such as The Change Equation and Kotter’s Eight Steps will be considered as well as leadership strategies designed to overcome resistance to change without impacting on colleagues’ wellbeing.

You can book onto the webinar now.

Find all our #ManagingChange resources and content on our #ManagingChange spotlight webpage.

Keep up with the discussion online and join in using #ManagingChange on social media.
