Comfort Care Services hosts annual awards ceremony

This #GoodNewsFriday we hear from Comfort Care Services about their annual Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Awards, plus some other recent accolades gained for their team.

More than 120 guests came together at Swan House as Comfort Care Services Ltd hosted its annual Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Awards, celebrating the achievements of the people it supports and the staff who help them reach their goals.

The event recognised personal growth, resilience, determination, independence and confidence, with 17 awards presented throughout the afternoon. Attendees included the Mayor of the London Borough of Hillingdon and Councillor Jan Sweeting, who helped present the honours.

The PBS Awards are designed to celebrate progress in all its forms, recognising that every person's journey is unique. The event also highlighted the importance of person-centred care and the dedication of support workers, team leaders and managers who help people achieve positive outcomes.

Guests enjoyed an afternoon of community celebrations. The event also featured a discussion on improving standards across social care, with Dr Muhammad Qureshi joined by Dr Arti Sharma from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and Skills for Care's Selena Docherty. Together, they explored how collaboration, research and continuous learning can help drive quality and innovation across the sector.

The celebration comes during a successful year for Comfort Care Services, which has received a number of national accolades. These include winning awards at the National Palliative and End of Life Care Awards 2026 and the Stars of Social Care Awards 2026, as well as being recognised at the National Dementia Care Awards and shortlisted in both the National Housing with Care Awards and the National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards.

Reflecting on the recognition, Dr Muhammad Qureshi said the organisation remains focused on supporting people to live safe, meaningful and independent lives, adding that the true measure of success is the positive difference made to people's lives every day.

The awards ceremony was a fitting celebration of achievement, inclusion and the power of high-quality support to help people thrive.
