Hampshire County Council

As the Learning and Development (L&D) team for Adults’ Health and Care (AHC) in Hampshire County Council (HCC), we ensure we engage with the sector to understand their needs and respond to their training requirements. We have in the last year worked closely with our partners in the CCG’s, Hampshire Care Association and the STP provider network. These relationships enable us to understand the workforce requirements across Hampshire. We link closely with colleagues in our AHC communication team who have set up a provider webpage to engage and communicate with the market, a recent survey to them included training requirement questions specifically about topics needed and delivery methods preferred by the market. This has influenced how and what we deliver, shaping our offer to include virtual sessions so social care staff can attend at work or at home according to what their preferences are and delivering in house so safe cohort-ing can be maintained and staff do not mix as advised by go
