We’ve developed a range of eLearning modules to support the development of knowledge and skills in different areas, which are hosted on our virtual learning environment.

Accessing the eLearning modules

To access the eLearning, learners need to log in to their Skills for Care account (or register for an account if they don’t already have one) and select the ‘Virtual learning environment’ button on the Skills for Care account dashboard.

Learners can then select the relevant module and payment is made via Paypal or credit/debit card.

Organisations with an Adult Social Care Workforce Dataset (ASC-WDS) account benefit from a 10% discount on the listed prices. Simply enter your ASC-WDS discount code when making payment to receive the discount. Email our ASC-WDS Support team if you need the discount code.

Eligible adult social care employers in England will soon be able to claim reimbursement for the training costs of the eLearning modules for qualifying staff through the new Adult Social Care Training and Development Fund.

Modules are purchased on a two year renewable license, with enrolment access to the module for a period of two years from date of purchase.

It’s also possible to purchase any of the eLearning modules in bulk at the following discounted rates. Please note that all organisations using ASC-WDS can receive a discount of 10% on a purchase of 1-199 modules.

Creating an inclusive organisation

This eLearning consists of two modules which explore the barriers to career progression that people from ethnic minority backgrounds often face. The modules will support learners to build confidence to improve equality, diversity and inclusion within their organisation.

The two modules cost £90.

eLearning to support CQC inspection

We’ve developed three one-hour modules to support providers to understand what CQC expects of your service and how you can best evidence these expectations. Aimed at managers and quality and compliance leads, the modules cover:

  • Being prepared for CQC inspection
  • Improving your CQC rating
  • Delivering outstanding care

Each module costs £15.

Introductory modules for managers

Based on the Manager Induction Standards, the 11 modules support the development of aspiring and new managers. Containing real-life examples of good practice, the single modules can be used to update learning or the full suite can be used as an introduction to management.

Each module costs £15 or you can purchase the full suite at the discounted price of £130.

Learning from events

This interactive module is designed to support managers and leaders in all adult care settings carry out learning reviews that bring people together to holistically explore an adverse event or near miss.
