Care providers who already use ASC-WDS may wish to join to be reminded of how they can make the most of their account.  20,000 care providers already use ASC-WDS and can access a range of benefits including: Eligibility for funding opportunities. Record information about your staff. Manage your training records. Define mandatory training for each role. Receive alerts when training is expired or expiring soon. Benchmark your service against similar providers. Access discounts and offers from Skills for Care and endorsed training providers. Allow us to create vital intelligence which is used by sector stakeholders and decision makers. This webinar will be run on Zoom.

Eastern region nominated individual network meeting

The network is chaired by Terry Cotton, who is a Nominated Individual from the Eastern region. The network was launched in the Eastern Region early in 2022 and has been running as an active group since its launch. The network offers support for nominated individuals including: Understanding the remit of their role and meeting its requirements. Hearing from expert speakers from across the social care sector An opportunity to share challenges facing care sector organisations. Finding co-designed solutions to address challenges. Networking with executive/senior level colleagues from across the Eastern region. Feedback into Skills for Care’s Board and Department of Health and Social Care on key issues. If you are a nominated individual in the Eastern region, please join us for these network meetings. You can choose as many meetings as you are able to and the majority of these sessions will be run on Zoom.

South West Nominated individual network meeting

Skills for Care is delighted to announce the launch of its South West Nominated Individual (NI) Network, which is taking place on 24 September 2024 (11.00 – 12.30) via Zoom. If you hold the role of Nominated Individual within your organisation, this new network will explore your role and responsibilities further. By attending, you will hear  about current opportunities, sector challenges and ways to overcome them, and there will be an opportunity to network with your peers.   At this launch meeting we will be joined by Caroline Coleman of Coleman Training who worked with Skills for Care to develop “The Nominated Individuals Handbook: A Practical Guide” which is available to download here Discussion topics will include: What is the role of Nominated Individual and why is it important? Relationships between the CQC and the Nominated Individual role Supporting the registered manager and taking the role of a critical friend  Managing the dual role of registered manager and nominated individual Each network meeting will be virtual and will be facilitated by a Skills for Care Locality manager.
