Safe and Sound: The London and South East Skills for Care roadshow 2024
Keynote speaker: Tristram Gardner, Deputy CEO, Skills for Care This face-to-face event is for registered managers working in adult social care in the London and South East region. It’s a fantastic opportunity to openly discuss and understand topics linked to: safe recruitment safety in digital innovation and technology Care Quality Commission, single assessment framework, environmental sustainability in care organisations. The day will be facilitated by locality managers from Skills for Care and invited subject specialists, such as experts from the Disclosure and Barring Service and Care Quality Commission who will be there to answer your questions. There will be facilitated workshops to discuss the key themes arising on the day. Attendees will have an opportunity to attend two out of three of these. Due to strict event capacity, we only have space for two representatives per organisation. Even if your organisation has multiple service locations, you will still need to choose two people to attend. These representatives must register separately to be able to attend.
Skills for Care national event for individual employers and those supporting them
In March 2024, we’ll be hosting an online national event to showcase what’s happening in different parts of the country in relation to supporting individual employers and developing the knowledge and skills of the personal assistant workforce. This free to attend, virtual event will be of interest to anyone working with or holding an interest in supporting this part of the workforce. By attending, you’ll have an opportunity to connect with other individual employers, personal assistants and professionals that work with them. You’ll hear from the experiences of people directly engaged in employing their own support as well as experts on the latest updates to support with recruiting, managing and developing personal assistants. You’ll also have a chance to ask questions and find out about the latest support from Skills for Care. The event will run across the morning and afternoon, with plenty of time for breaks included. A full programme of speakers will be announced closer to the event.
