Overview

The programme supports local authorities to make meaningful, ongoing improvements to workforce practice and culture. It supports human rights principles and structured, measurable organisational change that builds and sustains an anti-racist approach.

Phase 4 builds on learning from previous years and continues to support local authorities at different stages of their SC-WRES journey.

Local authorities that have taken part before are encouraged to continue into phase 4 to deepen and sustain progress. Organisations that are new to SC-WRES are also encouraged to join and will receive structured support to get started.

Registration for phase 4, 2026-2027, will open in May and these sessions are a great way to find out more, ask questions and hear from others across the country.
