Employers can claim funding to support a newly qualified social worker (NQSW) through the Assessed and Supported Year of Employment (ASYE) programme and apply for ASYE certification.
At the completion of the programme the employer can request a certificate of completion for each NQSW they have assessed as passing the ASYE programme.
We’re working with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), to offer funding to the employers of adults social workers.
Registration
The portal for the adults ASYE funding opened at 09:00 on Friday 31 May 2024. This means that you can start to register your newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) on the portal, which will remain open until 23:59 on Friday 31 January 2025.
As per previous communications, all employers are expected to upload an action plan for continuous development to the documents section on the portal in order for their application to be accepted.
Additional guidance on how to use the portal is available to download.
If you have any questions, please email adultsASYE@skillsforcare.org.uk

Certification
To claim a certificate for NQSW, employers need to update the NQSW record on the portal with the date of completion of the ASYE, and email adultsASYE@skillsforcare.org.uk to notify us of the completion.
Can’t see the records?
Please email adultsASYE@skillsforcare.org.uk with the names of the NQSWs completing, their Social Work England number and their completion date.
