This 'Guide to improvement' helps adult social care employers to identify, plan and implement improvements across their service. It draws on 'good' and outstanding' practice to help your service to, not only meet CQC expectations but exceed them. It includes checklists and examples to help you to identify what your service needs to improve, and to develop an action plan to implement the required changes.

User led organisation funding

Skills for Care distribute funding each year to User Led Organisations (ULOs) to deliver training for individual employers and personal assistants (PAs). The aim of the funded training is to improve the knowledge/skills of employers and their PAs.

2021-22 Workforce Development Fund has now launched

We’re delighted to announce that the Workforce Development Fund (WDF) 2021-22 is now open to adult social care employers in England to support the development of their staff at all levels, offering funding for a wide range of qualifications, learning programmes and digital learning modules. The fund, which Skills for Care distributes on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care, helped over 14,000 people in 2020/21.
