Overview
This roundtable is designed to bring together adult social care frontline workers to explore the current state of digital skills across the sector. It will provide a safe, collaborative space to share experiences, insights, and perspectives on the barriers and opportunities associated with using digital skills to support the delivery of high-quality care.
The discussion will help inform national decision-making, building on the Department of Health and Social Care’s 2021 Ipsos MORI report on digital skills. As digital adoption has progressed since the publication of the report, DHSC is keen to understand what has changed, what has worked well, and where further support may be needed.
At this event, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute directly to shaping future policy priorities by sharing real-world experiences of developing and using digital skills within your organisation.
Together, we will:
- explore how digital skills are currently being used across adult social care
- discuss barriers and enablers to improving digital capability
- share examples of what has worked well in upskilling the workforce
- identify which roles have benefited most from improved digital skills
- highlight where further support and investment may be required
Insights from the roundtable will help inform future approaches to digital upskilling across adult social care and support the development of national policy. All views shared will be anonymised when reported and when used for policy-making, ensuring participants can contribute openly and candidly.

This event is specifically for frontline care workers without any managerial or supervisory responsibilities working in adult social care.
If you are a director, manager, team leader, administrator, work in HR or recruitment etc. this event isn't for you and we would ask that you don't register.
