Workforce estimates

Skills for Care uses data from the NMDS-SC as a basis for creating estimates of the size, structure and characteristics of the whole adult social care workforce. This page provides access to these workforce estimates using our data file in an excel document. Download the estimates from this page.

Mental Capacity Act

The Mental Capacity Act (MCA) 2005 aims to protect people who may not be able to make decisions for themselves. It helps people to plan ahead in case they're unable to make important decisions for themselves in the future.

Rehabilitation worker
