This #GoodNewsFriday we’re saying well done to Routes Healthcare who picked up the 'Learning initiative of the year' award at the British Training Awards 2025.

Routes Academy, part of Routes Healthcare, was delighted to win 'Learning initiative of the year' award at the British Training Awards 2025.

The British Training Awards celebrate the very best in learning and development across the UK.

Routes Academy's winning programme is all about welcoming people into care careers - whether they're completely new to the sector or looking to progress their skills.

Helen Cuthill, People Director at Routes Healthcare, says:

We're thrilled about this recognition because it celebrates what we're most passionate about.

Routes Academy welcomes people who might never have considered a career in care and helps them discover they have a real gift for it. Seeing someone flourish in their new career is incredibly rewarding.

When you see the impact of great training, it's wonderful. Our clients tell us they feel completely confident in their carers' abilities. This British Training Award shows that investing in people really does create better care - and that makes everyone happy.

From day one training right through to specialist qualifications, Routes Academy supports people at every step. New starters get mentoring alongside their training, whilst experienced staff can develop expertise in areas like dementia care and end-of-life support.

Routes Healthcare has been helping people live independently in their own homes for over 15 years. Routes Academy makes sure every team member gets training that goes beyond the basics, creating confident, skilled carers who genuinely love what they do.
