We're continuing to celebrate International Nurses Day by recognising the hugely important role that nurses and nursing associates in social care play in the lives of people who draw on care and support.

Celebrating nursing in social care

As part of our celebrations, we're hosting a series of face-to-face events across England which are specifically for registered nurses and nursing associates.

This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with other nurses in your region, share good practice and contribute to professional discussion and debate, as well as taking the time to recognise the contribution you make. The events will be attended by Deborah Sturdy, the Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care, who is keen to hear your views.

Dates and venues:

  • Eastern - Wednesday 18 October, 10:00-14:30, Cambridge. Book now.

A thank you from our CEO Oonagh Smyth to nurses working in social care

#WeAreSocialCareNursing: why I work as a nurse in complex care

This International Nurses Day we asked Joanna Joanna Grant who's a homecare nurse and Chair of the Kent and Medway Social Care Nursing Advisory Council why she’s passionate about her role. Hear what she had to say.
